This is information that will help everyone who participates in the role-play, and make the experience a little smoother.
1) Thread starter directs the role-play. The creator of the thread has the final say in the plot, unless he willingly relinquishes plot command to another.
2) Don't control other peoples' characters. The only time that you may take command of another character is if the member has not posted for more than a week (and is vital to the progression of the story, in which case he/she should be pulled aside in short order), or the member publicly relinquishes his command of the character.
3) Don't complain. If the Gnoll hits you with a runed hailberd and the plot director says you're dead, you're dead. However, we ask that the plot directors be fair to the role-players. They're here to have fun, not to sit and watch because thier character died.
Important Notes
It is important to note that this thread is for role playing ONLY. Members' characters should be listed in the "Characters" section. The start of the scenario should introduce the plot and list the characters. Off-topic discussions should be posted in the concurrent thread in the Off-topic board in the Role Playing section.
Duties of the thread starter
Thread starters have to actively monitor thier threads, and trigger key events in the story (Such as, say, a shining dragon flies overhead, spotts the party and descends for a meal.) They will also be referred to as the Plot Director.
They will also need to keep an up-to-date list of the plot's characters on the first post.
The first post will ONLY be information about the story. Start the actual role-playing in the second post, or let another member actually kick off the story.
Only the Plot Director may make posts in the role-play that does not concern thier character.
The thread starter should, out of courtesy, make a new thread in the Role Playing Off-Topic section with the same name as the thread in the regular Role-Playing section.
